1703 Electronics Engineer

The Turbomachinery and Heat Transfer Laboratory  is seeking a highly motivated Electronics Engineer to support advanced experimental research, development, and testing activities. The role combines hands-on electronics work with system-level integration, control, and laboratory experimentation in a multidisciplinary aerospace research environment.

 


Job description:

  • Design, assemble, integrate, and test electronic circuits and subsystems for experimental laboratory rigs.

  • Programming, tuning, and validation of control systems (PID and related controllers).

  • Design and integration of control and measurement systems for high-speed motor-generator units, turbomachinery test stands, and UAV-related systems.

  • Wiring, soldering, and assembly of complex electronic and electromechanical systems.

  • Operation and troubleshooting of laboratory measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, DAQ systems, network analyzers).

  • Performing electronic diagnostics, calibration, and repair of laboratory equipment.

  • Development and execution of test procedures and ation of experimental results.

  • Support day-to-day laboratory activities, including hands-on mechanical work when required.

Requirements:

  • B.Sc. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Strong hands-on experience in electronics assembly, wiring, soldering, and testing.

  • Experience with control systems and laboratory measurement equipment.

  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and electronic circuit diagrams.

  • Organized, safety-minded, able to work clearly, and collaborate in a research lab environment.

  • Technical English proficiency.

  • Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or similar programing tools - advantage.

  • Experience in circuit design and simulation (e.g., PSPICE, Multisim) - afvantage.

  • Experience with aviation systems (drones, jet engines etc.) - advantage.

  • Experience with motor drives/inverters, sensor integration, and DAQ/control of high-speed rotating systems - advantage.
