The Myositis Association (TMA): Research Grants Program – LOI

TMA supports basic, translational, and clinical research across the spectrum of myositis diseases and specialties with the goal of advancing our understanding of the underlying causes and pathophysiology, means of prevention, early detection, accurate diagnosis, effective treatments, and methods for curing myositis and related diseases and complications. In the 2026 grant cycle, TMA will offer four research grant opportunities:

* Cure IBM Research Fund at TMA Grant for a project related to inclusion body myositis

* IBM/IMNM Fellowship for a project related to inclusion body myositis or immune-mediated necrotizing myopathy

* Immune-Mediated Necrotizing Myopathy Research Grant focusing on IMNM or one of its subtypes

* Meredith Thomas Memorial Fellowship for a project related to interstitial lung disease and/or antisynthetase syndrome

Funding: $105,000 – $150,000 over 18-to-24 month period.
