National Institute for Energy Storage (INIES): Applied Research in Energy Conversion and Storage Technologies

The RA will submit the full proposals to the Institute on 9.4.26.

NIES invites accredited higher education institutions to submit proposals for innovative research projects that advance the development of cost-effective, durable, and scalable batteries, hydrogen production systems, fuel cells, and related energy storage technologies.

Applied research proposals are invited in:

1. Electrochemical materials and technologies for energy storage.
2. Battery recycling and second-life batteries.
3. Increasing Technology Readiness Level (TRL) in electrochemical energy storage.

Each researcher may participate in up to 2 proposals: one as PI and one as Co-PI.

Funding: Up to NIS 250,000 per year for a period of up to 3 years. Overhead: 7.5%.
