Kavli Foundation: Kavli Scholars

Provides honorific grant support to exceptional scientists whose research for funding has been disrupted by unexpected challenges. The grant award offers recipients the opportunity to continue their work by providing funds for use at a Kavli-affiliated institution on a temporary basis, anywhere from 6 months to a maximum of 2 years. Scholars must be actively engaged in basic research in one of these four fields: astrophysics, nanoscience, neuroscience, or theoretical physics.
* While multiple individuals may be nominated from a single institution, an Institution may have no more than one active Kavli Scholar
except under special circumstances.
* Nomination of scientists who are in the earlier stages of their professional careers (postdoc, junior faculty) is particularly encouraged.
Funding: up to $100K per year for up to 2 years
