Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA): Huntington’s disease (HD) Human Biology Project – Competitive LOI’s
Description:
HDSA’s grant programs place people with HD at the center of that research, supporting scientists and clinicians who study the biological mechanisms of HD in human systems, and who work to improve the lives of people living with the disease today.
HD Human Biology Project
Support innovative, investigator-initiated research aimed at understanding the biology of Huntington’s disease in humans. Projects should prioritize the use of clinical samples or data from HD patients and aim to generate findings that inform therapeutic development or improve patient care.
HD Human Experience Project
Support investigator-initiated research that advances understanding of how HD is experienced and managed by people living with the disease. Projects must engage active human participants (not only samples or de-identified records) and should generate findings that improve cognition, function, quality of life, or care for people with HD across disease stages.
Funding: up to $90K per year for 1 or 2 years (No overhead)
