Breakthrough Award Level 3: Supports advanced translational studies and research with high potential to lead to or make breakthroughs in breast cancer.

Funding: up to $7M for up to 4 years

Breakthrough Award Level 4: Supports large-scale projects, including comparative effectiveness trials, that will transform and revolutionize the clinical management of and/or the prevention of breast cancer. • Clinical trials are required.

Funding: up to $21M for up to 4 years

Transformative Breast Cancer Consortium Award: Supports synergistic, highly integrated, multidisciplinary and multi-institutional consortia that will address a major problem in a way that a single investigator or group could not accomplish.

Funding: up to $35M for up to 4 years
