Process Development Grant:  provides up to $100K to support innovative processes, technologies, tools, and operational models that advance the safe, available, and effective delivery of transfusion medicine and biotherapies. The grant is intended to help improve operational performance, efficiency, quality, safety, accessibility, or decision support.

Early-Career Scientific Research Grant:  provides up to $100K to support investigator-initiated, original research in blood banking, transfusion medicine, and biotherapies. The grant is intended to help early-career investigators advance toward research independence through one- or two-year projects.

An early-career investigators is one that has completed a terminal research degree or medical residency – whichever date is later – within the past 10 years of the grant application deadline and has not yet been awarded a substantial research grant (i.e. NIH R01).
