8.9 U.S. DOW/CDMRP: Neurofibromatosis Research Program (NFRP) LOI
Description:
Neurofibromatosis Research Academy – Scholar Award: supports early-career investigators (Scholars) joining the Neurofibromatosis Research Academy to pursue a research project that may include basic, translational, and/or clinical research under the leadership of the NFRA Director and Deputy Director.
Funding: up to $1.2M for 4 years.
Exploration-Hypothesis Development Award: Supports the initial exploration of innovative, high-risk, high-gain, and potentially groundbreaking concepts in NF research
Funding: up to $160K for 2 years.
Investigator-Initiated Research Award: Supports highly rigorous, high-impact research projects that have the potential to make an important contribution to neurofibromatosis research and/or patient care.
Funding: up to $920K for 3 years.
Synergistic Idea Award: Supports new ideas that represent synergistic approaches to NF research involving two or three PIs.
Investigators are expected to demonstrate the synergistic components (i.e., leveraging disciplines, expertise, or critical resources) that will significantly advance the project such that the research outcomes will be realized rapidly and efficiently and could not otherwise be accomplished through the independent efforts of a single investigator.
Funding: up to $3.2M for 3 years.
